Back to overview

Unexpected problems in the crop are sometimes caused by the purity of fertilisers (excessive sodium or heavy metals). Pipe blockages during irrigation or precipitation in the A or B tank are sometimes due to impurities in the fertilisers used.

Fertilizer producers in the Netherlands and elsewhere have introduced a range of new fertilisers in recent years, such as low-sodium fertilizers and various organic products. There are also a number of new producers in the market. But before you switch to a new fertilizer or another supplier, consider having the purity and composition of the new fertilizer analysed; impurities in fertilizers can cause all kinds of problems in the crop.
