Verra is the leading organization that sets standards for climate actions and sustainable development. Eurofins measures SOC using NIR according to ISO 17184 (2015) calibrated with the wet-chemical dry combustion method according to ISO 10694 (1995). The methodology is recommended by Verra to measure SOC, and SOC changes in time and is compatible with Eurofins’ dry combustion and NIR methods.

Verra (2023) suggests that, on a single-sample basis, proximal sensing methods such as NIR can lower costs and that this may lead to more analyses, which will help to improve estimations. This is fully in line with the vision of Eurofins Agro Testing.
