Omgekeerde osmose Westland: zo ondersteunt Eurofins telers

Sinds 1 januari 2026 geldt in Westland het nieuwe ‘Beleid en maatwerkvoorschriften bij brijnlozingen’. Eén van de eisen die door Omgevingsdienst is gesteld is het aanleveren van een rapportage met daarin een laboratoriumanalyse van het brijn. Dit is het water afkomstig uit de osmose-installatie dat wordt teruggepompt in de bodem.
Eurofins ondersteunt telers actief bij het voldoen aan deze nieuwe regels en helpt telers om snel en correct aan de regelgeving te voldoen. Concreet betekent dit:

de juiste bemonstering van het brijnwater
-
het uitvoeren van individuele brijnanalyses (clusteren is niet meer toegestaan);

het correct en tijdig analyseren van monsters conform de eisen van de Omgevingsdienst;

het leveren van betrouwbare analysecertificaten die nodig zijn voor maatwerk en toezicht;
Belangrijk: ieder bedrijf moet sinds 2026 een eigen brijnmonster laten analyseren. Een individuele beoordeling is verplicht om af te mogen wijken van de algemene rijksregels.
Advies: zorg dat uw brijnanalyse en documentatie op orde zijn. Dit voorkomt beperkingen in watergebruik en vragen van toezichthouders.

Since 1 January 2026, the new Policy and Custom Requirements for Brine Discharge has been in force in Westland. One of the conditions set by the Environmental Agency is the submission of a report containing a laboratory analysis of the brine. This is the water produced by the reverse osmosis installation that is pumped back into the soil.
Eurofins actively supports growers in meeting these new rules and helps growers comply with the regulations quickly and correctly. Specifically, Eurofins provides support with:

proper sampling of the brine water

performing individual brine analyses (clustering is no longer permitted)

analysing samples correctly and on time in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Agency

providing reliable analysis certificates required for customised assessment and supervision
Important: Since 2026, every business must have its own brine sample analysed. An individual assessment is mandatory in order to deviate from the general national regulations.
Advice: Make sure your brine analysis and documentation are in order. This prevents limitations in water use and questions from inspectors.
